 Según cuenta la madre del pequeño, Ana Marta Vegas, su hijo Hernán rehúye al contacto físico, no le gusta que lo toquen; sin embargo algo distinto ocurre con su mascota Himalaya. 

 "Lo que pasa con Hernán es que es un poco retraído y rehúye el contacto físico. No le gusta que lo toquen, pero Himalaya le insistía con tanta paciencia, y era tan suave que por eso resulta tan conmovedor, ella se deja hacer cualquier cosa", comenta.

 "No creo que Dios cometa errores, todo pasa por algo", dice la mamá.

La grabación, que fue realizada por ella, muestra todo el amor que puede dar un perro y lo mucho que puede ayudar y acompañar a las personas que sufren distintos problemas.

La versión del video en inglés, titulada “Sweet Mama Dog Interacting with a Beautiful Child with Down”, ya tiene más de 10 millones 774 mil visitas desde setiembre del 2012.
